Welder/Fabricator
Resulting from continuing growth within the business, we are looking for enthusiastic and experienced welder/fabricators to join our expanding team at our Rugby site.
Job Specification
The successful candidates will be responsible for the fabrication & welding of waste tanker vessels or associated components. The ideal candidates should have experience in MIG welding a range of materials and processes, particularly of working with mild and stainless steel at a variety of thicknesses. The ability to read technical drawings and use hand tools and other equipment to fabricate and assemble components is essential. The role requires excellent attention to detail and an ability to work to tight deadlines.
Candidate Specification
Essential
- Experienced MIG welder within specialised commercial vehicle manufacturing, heavy engineering, or fabrication.
- Knowledge of welding in both Mild and Stainless Steel at a variety of thicknesses
- The role will require the successful candidate to pass multiple welder qualifications
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation and drawings is essential
- Ability to use own initiative
- Ability to work underpressure
Desirable
- Pipe welding experience is desirable
- It would be an advantage to have a forklift and overhead crane licence
Essential information
- £16.00 - £18.00 per hour (dependent uponexperience)
- Hours of work – Monday to Friday (08:00 – 16:30)– 40 hours per week
